About the Role :
The Freight Forwarding Coordinator (FFC) acts as the primary point of contact with our customers and vendors. The FFC also serves as the main operations contact with ZIM Logistics overseas offices and agents. The role involves ensuring the effective and efficient handling of shipments to maintain continuous cargo flow while meeting company deadlines and objectives.

Roles & Responsibilities :
Operations (40%)
- Shipment tracking and tracing
- Prepare and communicate shipping instructions & documentation (Arrival Notices & Bill of Lading)
- Preparation of pre-alerts and alerts to overseas offices and agents
- Preparation of cargo pickup, deliveries, and drayage
- Preparation of reports on timelines and cargo movements
Customer Service (40%)
- Interact with clients and handle account requirements
- Handle phones, emails, and other correspondence with clients and vendors
- Identify potential issues and work to resolve them quickly
- Communicate delays and hold notices on imports
- Rating and creation of invoices
Technology (20%)
- Maintain and master internal CRM and ERP tools
- Enter milestones into internal customer and operational tools
- Support marketing research for new line studies
Backup :
- Act as backup to team members

Requirements :
- Two years of customer service and operations experience in the freight forwarding industry
- Post-secondary education in supply chain management
- Knowledge of ocean, air, and ground operations
- Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, SAP
- Knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (e2Open) is an asset
- Knowledge of Canadian customs requirements (ACI, HS Code, Fumigation)
- English is mandatory; knowledge of French and a third non-official language is an asset
