Job summary

A leading company in the manufacturing sector is seeking a Freight Coordinator to manage shipping logistics and export documentation. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient invoice verification and database maintenance while coordinating with freight vendors. This role supports the Export Department in facilitating sales of Canadian-made products to various international markets. Applicants must hold Canadian citizenship or valid work permits.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate customs paperwork for shipments to the US.
• Assist in preparing quotations and maintaining export order files.

Job description

• Grade 12 plus Specialized Business of Trade Courses
• Able to Work with Freight vendors, both Trucking and Ocean to arrange shipments
• Software – Outlook, SAP, Microsoft Office, VPN

Job Responsibilities

• Invoice verification ensuring payment approval and correct allocation.
• Database maintenance for product that returns to the US to help improve administrative efficiency.
• CUSMA certificates (old NAFTA) coordination with suppliers, obtaining updated CUSMA certificates within SAP.
• Set up trucking and ocean freight pick ups as required.
• Follow up and tracking of shipments as needed.
• Complete customs paperwork for shipments to the US.
• Support the Export Department for the sale of Canadian-made products to Lincoln Distributors in Central and South America, the Caribbean, the Middle East, and Asia.
• Assist and / or prepare quotations; provide price and delivery.
• Maintain accurate and well-organized files of all export orders.
