About the opportunity:

• Outlier is looking for talented writers with fluency in English to help train generative artificial intelligence models.
• This reading and writing-intensive freelance opportunity is remote and offers flexible hours, allowing you to work whenever it suits you.
• Your tasks include reading English texts to rank responses produced by AI, writing and rewriting prompts and responses (which may involve research and fact-checking), and assessing the factuality and relevance of AI-generated text.

Examples of desirable expertise:

• Experience as a professional writer or editor.
• Currently enrolled in or completed an associate degree or higher in a writing-related discipline at an accredited institution.
• A strong sense of writing style with exceptional English spelling, grammar, logic, and reasoning skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to clearly explain the strengths and weaknesses of a given piece of text.

Payment:

• Core project work by English writing experts in the US averages USD $15 per hour.
• Rates vary based on expertise, skills assessment, location, project needs, and other factors. Higher rates may be offered to PhDs. For initial onboarding or overtime phases, lower rates may apply. Some projects offer incentive payments. Please review payment terms for each project.
