Busuu is seeking a Freelance Online Mandarin Teacher to deliver engaging 45-minute online lessons for corporate clients and 1:1 coaching.

You will plan, prepare, and lead sessions, assess levels, create learning paths, and monitor progress while maintaining high communication standards and a professional online presence.

Qualifications

• C2 level mandarin proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and teach online lessons (45 minutes each) for corporate clients.

• Maintain high-quality communication and professional etiquette in online sessions.

What does a Freelance Online Mandarin Teacher do at Busuu?

As a Freelance Online Mandarin Teacher at Busuu, you’ll play a key role in helping students learn Mandarin effectively and confidently. On a day-to-day basis, your responsibilities will likely include:

• Planning, preparing, and teaching online lessons (45 minutes each) for corporate clients.

• 1:1 Lessons: Deliver private lessons that include both language teaching and personalised coaching - conducting needs analyses, assessing levels, creating bespoke learning paths, checking progress during lesson time, and setting clear goals.

What we’re looking for in a Freelance Online Language Teacher:

• C2 Level of Mandarin

• Valid teaching certificate such as TEFL/CELTA or related university degrees

• Experience in online teaching and providing 1:1 coaching or personalised learning support

• B1 or above in English

• Bonus: Speaking more than two languages

• Comfortable teaching: presentation skills, negotiations, business email etiquette, meeting management, multicultural communication, etc.

• Excellent communication skills to engage and teach students

• High-Speed Internet, Modern Laptop / PC with a microphone and camera

• Must comply with local freelance/contractor regulations
