Operating from a fully-equipped industrial workshop in Markham, we specialize in premium-quality custom cabinetry utilizing advanced CNC machinery and edge technology. Our expertise also extends to renovations, foundation construction, coldroom and cooler builds, and a wide range of custom fabrication projects. Role Description
This is a freelance partnership opportunity for experienced Interior Designers at 51Wood Ltd. Please note that this is not a salaried or full-time employment position. We are offering a mutually beneficial collaboration with independent designers seeking a professional base to operate their practice.
Partners will have access to dedicated workspace, high-speed internet, a showroom for client meetings, shared kitchen facilities, CNC machinery, and technical support from our in-house CNC programmer. Designers may also be referred to in-house projects when available and will receive a negotiated share of profit for projects they contribute to. In exchange, designers will provide a negotiated contribution for the use of space and agree to outsource the fabrication and manufacturing of their design projects to 51Wood Ltd.
A formal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and partnership agreement will be established to outline mutual expectations and terms. This opportunity is located in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada.
Qualifications
·Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in interior design (residential or commercial)
·Proficiency in space planning, interior detailing, FF&E selection, and construction documentation
·Strong working knowledge of architectural design principles and relevant software - (Revit is a must)
·Positive personality and collaborative personality
·Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients and collaborators
·Interest in establishing a stable, long-term partnership with a reputable fabrication company
·A degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline is required
