A 2D Animator/Illustrator is sought to create animation assets for a new children’s YouTube channel designed to provide calm, magical bedtime storytelling for children aged 2–6. The work will involve producing a 20–25 second intro, a 20 second outro, and 4–6 short animations of a recurring animated co-host, Gerry the Giraffe, suitable for integration with live-action footage. The role requires refining existing sketches into polished, production-ready assets in a warm, picture-book style, matching provided music, sketches, and storyboards. Deliverables must include layered source files with full commercial rights, prepared for export in 1080p/4K resolution.

Requirements

Proven experience in 2D animation and illustration, preferably in children’s media
Ability to work in a warm, hand-illustrated picture-book aesthetic with soft lines and gentle pastel tones
Skilled in creating smooth, bedtime-friendly animations with subtle pacing
Experience designing expressive, whimsical animal characters and storybook environments
Proficiency with software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, or equivalents
Ability to deliver layered source files (PSD/AI/AE or similar) with full commercial rights
Strong communication skills and openness to collaborative feedback
Availability to work remotely and meet agreed project timelines
