Horizon Health Network (Horizon) is seeking a strategic, innovative, individual to join our team as the Manager of Spiritual Care. The ideal candidate will have experience leading and delivering the provision of Spiritual and Religious Care to patients and families.

Who You Are

You have a worked in a leadership role for a minimum of 3 years. You have experience and knowledge of various theologies, religious and spiritual traditions and ecclesiology and demonstrated ability to work in a multi-faith and culturally diverse environments.

You have excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively, while focused on evidence-based counselling in clinical assessments focused on individual patient needs.

Interpersonal Relations

  • Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
  • Ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Good work record.
  • A Masters degree in Theology, Divinity, or another related field.
  • Completion of 2 Advanced units of Clinical psychospiritual education with the intention of certification with Canadian Association for Spiritual Care (CASC/ACSS).

Written and spoken competence in English is required at an advanced level.

  • Leading the planning and development of spiritual care services
  • Directing, overseeing and evaluating the provision of services
  • Managing fiscal and human resources to ensure the quality and safety of service delivery
  • Coordinating and evaluating workload and service delivery
  • Providing leadership and mentoring related to the training of spiritual care staff
  • Developing, monitoring and ensuring compliance with standards, policies and procedures
  • Providing clinical spiritual care services
