Job summary

Horizon Health Network in Canada seeks a registered nurse to deliver quality patient care within the interdisciplinary team. You will practice within the scope of professional nursing, prioritizing patient needs and collaborating with healthcare colleagues to plan and adjust care plans.

Qualifications

• Active registration with ANBLPN.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year recent and direct experience (within last 5 years) would be an asset depending on the department (for example: Mental Health, obstetrical, haemodialysis, medical/surgical, etc.). A combination of relevant work experience and related education training will be considered.
• Willing to participate in continuing education/certification programs (i.e. breastfeeding certification, non-violent crisis intervention, Periop 101, ASIST, cast application/removal, etc.) as outlined during orientation and onboarding within a defined timeframe.
• Demonstrated assessment skills and ability to respond to emergent situations and prioritize care.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and adherence to relevant legislation.
• Good work and attendance record.
• Ability to perform the duties of the position.
