Do you want to help Scotiabank STOP Fraudsters from taking our customers' money? As a key part of the Fraud Operations team, you will be dedicated to improving fraud prevention.

The Fraud Operations team plays a critical role in ensuring our clients can serve our customers daily while preventing fraud.

In this role, you will:

  1. Lead resolution of small/medium, multi-dimensional operational and technological problems as a Fraud System Specialist.
  2. Participate in production support issues with pager rotation duties.
  3. Manage multi-disciplinary programs to implement solutions meeting operational needs and support all units within Fraud Management.
  4. Resolve simple to complex problems independently and jointly to meet operational needs.
  5. Apply financial and technological knowledge to design fraud methodologies, models, and systems solutions.
  6. Represent and identify gaps, changes, and requirements in fraud prevention and security processes across various fraud management teams.
  7. Participate in system implementation processes by confirming business requirements, coordinating test strategies, and performing verification and health checks.
  8. Keep management informed of issues and escalate appropriately.

Do you have the skills to succeed in this role?

  • 3 to 5+ years of experience with business systems analysis or similar.
  • Familiar with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects independently.
  • Skilled in analyzing business and user needs.
  • Experience documenting and working with business requirements.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of branch or non-branch operations and retail deposit/investment products is an asset.
