Job summary

Definity is seeking a Senior Data Specialist to join the Enterprise Fraud Analytics team. This hybrid role blends data engineering with data science to architect scalable pipelines and build AI/ML models that detect and prevent insurance fraud across claims data, SIU notes, and third-party inputs.

You will leverage Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, Vertex AI, and Gemini, collaborating with Business Analysts and SIU to translate complex fraud requirements into robust datasets and actionable

Qualifications

• University degree in CS/DS/SE (Master’s asset).
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in analytics or data science.
• Advanced SQL and Python for data extraction and modeling.
• Experience with NLP and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Familiarity with cloud data warehousing and ML platforms (GCP).
• Knowledge of data privacy and AI fairness is a plus.
• Excellent communication; bilingual EN/FR is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ELT/ETL data pipelines in GCP.
• Develop AI/ML models with emphasis on NLP and XAI.
• Evaluate models with robust metrics and provide explanations.
• Perform exploratory data analysis and implement automation.
• Maintain governance, documentation, and best practices.
