Job summary

KFC Canada is seeking a Franchise Business Coach to coach, support, and influence franchisees across designated Canadian regions. Hybrid role requiring travel, responsible for driving operations, brand objectives, KPIs, and growth targets while building franchise capacity.

The candidate should have 5–7 years in senior operations/commercial roles with strong communication and coaching skills. Preferred: experience in Quick Service/Food Retail and bilingual English/French (Canadian).

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in senior Operations/Commercial positions, with accountability for sales, profit, and people management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to formulate and analyze to make decisions and influence operating agendas.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills with the ability to inspire all levels of franchise operations.
  • Ability to navigate and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Outstanding coaching and mentoring skills with solid follow-up.
  • Strong ability to delegate, lead, and influence action through others.
  • Sound management-level planning, directing, leading, and coaching skills.
  • High work ethic and independence with ability to work individually while travelling.
  • Willingness to work in alignment with QSR trading patterns which will include some evening and weekend work.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver national operations plan and budget designed to meet company's Annual Operating Plan targets.
  • Recommend sales and growth opportunities to elevate operating capability across the franchise system by aligning, influencing, and challenging franchisees to deliver the brand vision as one system.
  • Evaluate performance and drive action within the designated Franchisees/Licensees against multiple criteria, including but not limited to: Best on Block (BOB) Scorecards, Food Safety Compliance Checks (FSCC), Restaurants Operations Compliance Checks (ROCC) & escalation processes, as well as Franchise Growth Criteria and Brand Standards compliance as outlined in brand requirements.
  • Oversee implementation of corrective action plans ensuring all Franchisees, Licensees and Restaurants meet or exceed minimum brand expectations within span.
  • Own franchise relationships through high-level franchise management & strategic planning.
  • Lead the onboarding and growth for new Franchisees/Licensees within span.
  • Lead culture to fuel results as a leader that supports franchisees/licensees to build Above Restaurant Leadership capability at the organization level.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to commercialize initiatives that will drive a better guest experience.
  • Lead periodic reviews with franchisee/licensee partners, documenting actions to drive accountability and progress while promoting a one system approach including sharing best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned

Franchise Business Coach

The Franchise Business Coach is responsible for coaching, supporting, and influencing franchisees of designated KFC restaurants within specified regions across Canada. This would include delivering operations and brand objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs) and plans designed to achieve the company's growth, revenue and profit targets while building franchise operating capability. The role is required to motivate, develop, and influence franchisees at all levels to reach company and individual goals and objectives.

Preferred:

  • Post-secondary degree with a major in business, marketing, or finance

Experience :

The expected hiring range for this role is $85,000 to $114,000 CAD , inclusive of base salary. Final compensation will be based on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
