Job description

Store - WINNIPEG - SOUTHEAST, MB

Lead and coach a team of framers who focus on building customer relationships while creating framing solutions for their art. Drive custom framing sales and assist customers in creating memorable framing solutions.

Major Activities

  1. Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements; ensure execution of Company policies and standards; hold team accountable for store conditions and results.
  2. Develop and coach the team selling behaviors.
  3. Lead the delivery of high-quality custom framing solutions to customers on time by planning workload in partnership with the Store Manager.
  4. Achieve KPI targets and manage the framing team to meet their KPIs.
  5. Review sales and production workload; build plans and allocate sales floor time for networking.
  6. Manage inventory and execute inventory management processes as assigned.
  7. Manage shrink and safety programs.
  8. Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
  9. Assist with interviewing, onboarding, coaching, observing, and training new team members; support talent development activities; participate in performance management; utilize leadership competencies for self-development.
  10. Partner with MODs on framing expectations and team performance.
  11. Interact with others respectfully, promote a positive image, and serve as a role model.
  12. Participate in truck unloading and stocking processes, ensuring standards are followed within budget.
  13. Follow SOPs and company programs to ensure a safe environment.
  14. Acknowledge customers, help locate products, and provide solutions.
  15. Assist with omni-channel processes.

Minimum experience required

  • Basic computer skills

Preferred experience

  • Previous custom framing experience
  • Retail management experience
  • Experience leading a sales team

Physical Requirements

  • Bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching regularly
  • Ability to move throughout the store
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Lifting heavy boxes and frames; accessing high shelves with ladders or similar equipment

Work Environment

  • Public retail store setting with climate-controlled areas; some outdoor work; work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings; some areas may not be climate-controlled.
