Job description

Store - TOR-TORONTO/DOWNSVIEW, ON

Lead and coach a team of framers who focus on building customer relationships while creating framing solutions for their art. Drive custom framing sales and assist customers in creating memorable framing solutions for their art.

Major Activities
  1. Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements; ensure execution of Company policies and standards; hold team accountable for store conditions and results.
  2. Develop and coach the team in selling behaviors.
  3. Lead the delivery of high-quality custom framing solutions to customers on time by planning workload in partnership with the Store Manager.
  4. Achieve KPIs and manage the framing team to meet their role KPIs.
  5. Review sales and production workload; build plans and allocate sales floor time for networking.
  6. Manage inventory processes and execute shrink and safety programs.
  7. Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
  8. Assist with interviewing, onboarding, coaching, observing, and training new team members; support talent development activities; participate in performance management; utilize leadership competencies for self-development.
  9. Partner with MODs on framing expectations and team management.
  10. Interact with others respectfully, remain positive, promote the organization’s values, and serve as a role model.
  11. Participate in truck unloading and stocking to meet standards within budget.
  12. Follow SOPs and company programs to ensure a safe environment.
  13. Acknowledge customers, help locate products, and provide solutions.
  14. Assist with Omni-channel processes.

Minimum Experience Requirements
  • Basic computer skills
Preferred Experience
  • Previous custom framing experience
  • Retail management experience
  • Experience leading a sales team
Physical Requirements
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching
  • Ability to move throughout the store
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Lifting heavy boxes and frames; accessing high shelves with ladder or similar equipment
Work Environment
  • Public retail setting; climate-controlled areas; some outdoor work; work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings; frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press.
