Job description

Store - VAN-BURNABY, BC

Lead and coach a team of framers who focus on building customer relationships while creating a framing solution for their art. Drive custom framing sales. Assist customers in creating a memorable framing solution for their art.

Major Activities

  1. Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements; ensure execution of Company policies and standards; hold team accountable for store conditions and results.
  2. Develop and coach the team selling behaviors.
  3. Lead the delivery of high-quality custom framing solutions to customers on time by planning workload in partnership with the Store Manager.
  4. Achieve KPIs and manage the framing team to meet their role KPIs.
  5. Review sales and production workload, build plans, and allocate sales floor time for networking.
  6. Manage inventory and execute inventory management processes as assigned.
  7. Manage shrink and safety programs.
  8. Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
  9. Assist with interviewing, onboarding, coaching, training of new team members; support talent development; participate in performance management activities.
  10. Partner with MODs on framing expectations and team performance.
  11. Interact with customers in an accepting and respectful manner; promote the organization’s vision and values; serve as a role model.
  12. Participate in truck unloading and stocking to meet standards and budgets.
  13. Follow SOPs and company programs to ensure a safe environment.
  14. Acknowledge customers, assist with locating products, and provide solutions.
  15. Assist with omni-channel processes.

Minimum experience required

  • Basic computer skills

Preferred experience

  • Previous custom framing experience
  • Retail management experience
  • Experience leading a sales team

Physical requirements

  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
  • Ability to move throughout the store.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Lifting heavy boxes and frames, accessing high shelves with ladders or similar equipment.
  • If assistance is needed, contact supervisor for accommodations.

Work environment

  • Public retail store setting with climate-controlled areas; some outdoor work; work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.

Legal requirements

Applicants in Canada must meet federal, provincial, and local legal requirements.

Salary Range: $18.85 - $23.30
