Job summary

WS & Company Ltd. is seeking a skilled carpenter for permanent, full-time work at our Surrey, BC location. You will perform carpentry tasks including measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling wood and related materials to construct and install components of buildings.

The role requires on-site work with standard carpentry duties, using common hand and power tools. A college-level certificate or diploma (3 months to <1 year) is preferred, and prior experience is an asset.

Qualifications

• Experience in carpentry is an asset.
• Reliable with hand tools and measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials such as wood and wood substitutes.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
