Location: Grande Prairie, Alberta and surrounding area

Position Type: Full-time

Wage/Salary Range:
Guaranteed base compensation with competitive job revenue bonus structure; paid training and completion bonus; vacation pay on base and bonus earnings

Shift Schedule:

During Training Program: 10 days on, 4 days off

After Program Completion: 15 days on, 6 days off

Hours Per Day: Variable based on operational needs

Job Overview:
GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Frac Operator in Training to join our Valued Client's team in the Grande Prairie area. This is a full-time opportunity ideal for motivated individuals from nearby Indigenous communities who are looking to build a meaningful and sustainable career in the energy sector. This entry-level program is designed to provide skills, mentoring, and real-world experience for long-term advancement.

Responsibilities:

Complete all program requirements of the six-week Frac Operator in Training program with Class 1 MELT

Assist with equipment maintenance and shop duties as needed

Adhere strictly to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures

Perform work in all weather conditions as part of a diverse and supportive team

Qualifications:

Valid Alberta Class 3 or 5 driver’s license with no GDL restrictions and satisfactory Driver’s Abstract

High School Diploma or GED preferred

Capable of operating manual transmission vehicles

Physically fit and willing to work in outdoor environments

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates from local Indigenous communities in and around Grande Prairie

Previous hands-on or industry-related experience

Familiarity with field or mechanical operations

The position involves physically active outdoor work in varying weather conditions. You will be part of a highly collaborative and safety-oriented team, where your growth is supported from day one.
