About Us

We are seeking creative, dynamic, and committed teachers to join our team at Manotick Public School.

Manotick Public School is a small dual track school, delivering a bilingual Kindergarten program, then students choose the Regular English program or the Early French Immersion program from Grade 1 to Grade 5. Our school motto “Learning for Life”- “Apprendre pour la Vie” is a philosophy shared by students and staff. Our school mascot, Buzzy Bee – Bourdon L’Abeille, was chosen by the students and they celebrate his birthday every September. Manotick Public School encourages a community feeling that promotes a positive, safe and caring learning environment. We work in partnership with our parents to provide a program that allows each child to reach his/her full potential.

All Occasional Teachers are eligible to apply for Long Term Occasional postings for which they are qualified. If you are fully external to the OCDSB, you may apply to this posting if you have the required qualifications.

1. Current elementary occasional teacher applicants, followed by
2. Qualified external applicants.

Process for selection

A minimum of 3 qualified applicants will be offered an interview, including:

1. At least three (3) teachers, who are currently employed as an occasional teacher with the OCDSB, and who have the required OCT qualifications and who best meet the criteria outlined in the job posting.
2. If fewer than three (3) qualified applicants apply, all qualified applicants will be interviewed.
