Job description

Join Altera's Embedded Solutions team and work on cutting-edge FPGA-SoC devices! As an experienced FPGA designer in our Software Engineering department, you'll contribute to the implementation and validation of FPGA designs and embedded software features for customer applications targeting our leading-edge FPGAs. This dynamic role provides a unique opportunity to work hands-on with hardware and software, including development kits, while gaining experience in digital design and programming.

You'll collaborate with diverse teams across Silicon design, CAD tools, applications engineering, and product planning, gaining insights into how holistic customer solutions are developed to meet market needs and deliver exceptional user experiences.

We’re looking for a motivated self-starter with strong communication and collaboration skills, who is eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop FPGA designs and embedded software features.
  • Validate FPGA designs using SystemVerilog and the Universal Verification Methodology.
  • Contribute to customer-facing solutions leveraging Altera's FPGA-SoC devices.
  • Gain hands-on experience with physical development kits and embedded systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.

Qualifications :

  • Exposure to programming in C / C++, Python, or Java, with a preference for low-level C programming.
  • 5+ years of experience in FPGA and / or Structured ASIC design with FPGA / SASIC design tools. Experience in UVM based verification a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • 7+ years of experience in FPGA and / or Structured ASIC design with FPGA / SASIC design tools. Experience in UVM based verification a plus.
  • Knowledge of embedded systems development.
