Job summary

The Child Development Institute (CDI) in Canada is hiring a Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist to lead budgeting, forecasting, funder reporting, and financial analysis across the organization. You will translate complex funding data into clear insights that guide decision-making and collaborate with program leaders for planning.

Qualifications

• University degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis in a nonprofit/multi‑funder environment.
• Ability to build clear insights from funder reporting and translate into decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting and forecasting across the organization and program areas.
• Deliver monthly and quarterly financial analysis with variances and trends.
• Support funder and management reporting with accurate, timely outputs.
• Strengthen reporting frameworks for planning and governance.
• Drive process improvements to automate and streamline financial workflows.
