Job summary

Thumbtack is seeking a Corporate FP&A Manager to own the consolidated P&L view, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting for leadership and the Board. This high-scope role combines traditional FP&A with AI-enabled workflows to reduce manual effort and accelerate insights.

You will partner with Finance leadership, work closely with revenue forecasting, and drive the next stage of the company’s financial planning maturity. This is a strategic, advisory-heavy role with visibility to the CFO.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of FP&A, investment banking, private equity, or management consulting with time in corporate finance.
• Excellent financial modeling skills in Excel and Google Sheets.
• Demonstrated experience applying AI tools to finance workflows.
• Track record of building management and Board-level reporting with narratives.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with experience presenting to senior executives.
• Hands-on experience with EPM/ERP systems such as Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Pigment, Aleph, Oracle Planning & Budgeting, NetSuite, SAP.
• Comfort querying data directly - SQL or equivalent - to validate revenue forecasting and funnel inputs.

Responsibilities

• Own the consolidated monthly and quarterly P&L close process for FP&A, including forecasting, variance analysis, and the narrative that explains what happened.
• Run the annual budgeting cycle end to end, from bottoms-up build through executive review.
• Build management and Board-level reporting, including Board decks and quarterly outlooks.
• Apply AI and workflow automation to FP&A processes, replacing manual reporting and reconciliation.
• Collaborate across Business Finance, Strategic Finance, Accounting, and Business Analytics to keep a consistent numbers view.
• Lead ad hoc analyses and scenario modeling for the CFO and leadership team.
• Partner with Revenue Forecasting and serve as backup on revenue and funnel forecast, including weekly outlook.
