Job Summary
As a member of the Conagra Canada Finance leadership team, you will act as a valued business partner to the broader Conagra Finance teams. You will own the update and maintenance of Conagra’s planning and analytics tools and provide the business with analytics on monthly, quarterly and annual variances to forecast and plan. You will oversee the efficient operation and effectiveness of financial systems and programs, provide guidance and leadership to staff of one FA and one SFA, partner with business to provide recommendations and support sound decision making based on accurate and reliable financial data, and effectively lead small teams for ad-hoc projects. May be required to engage in business partnering, analytics, AOP & Strat Plan, monthly forecasting, Metrics & Scorecards, and / or Period close in addition to cashflow forecasting and FX scenario planning. Minimum 7 years related experience is required.
Position Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of 2 professionals, including recruiting, selecting, onboarding, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities
- Serve as a business partner for accounting and finance related questions. This will involve the ability to assess business needs, resolve risks and opportunities in a timely manner, and clear communication of issues / business results
- Lead the preparation and compilation of the annual operating plan (AOP) and strategic plan for the full P&L and related balance sheet accounts
- Update the monthly forecast based on business changes in partnership with broader finance teams. Analyze and communicate changes forecast over forecast with clear drivers
- Lead month-end / quarter-end close activities to ensure completion of FP&A deliverables including identification and resolution of unusual items and issues in a timely manner
- Provide comprehensive financial analysis and models for various requests depending on the ask (product development, customer analysis, competitive analysis, pricing, etc.)
- Maybe involved in projects that will rotate and span across several different financial disciplines including, but not limited to FP&A, new product development, manufacturing investments, and in-market investments
- Lead the development of metrics, scorecards and reporting for Canadian FP&A team
- Support maintenance and design of monthly cash flow forecasts and working capital submission
- Evaluate and deliver periodic metrics, scorecards and reports
- Lead Finance functional initiatives as requested
- Partner with IT to find technological solutions that create process efficiencies
- Provide FP&A support as needed

Supervision
- Reports to Director Finance
Qualifications, Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- MBA or CPA / CMA / CGA certification required
- Minimum 7 years of professional general business and financial experience
- Previous experience managing a team required
- Proven ability to self motivate in a fast paced environment, ability to deal with ambiguity, change and a dynamic business environment
- Background and experience in P&L management, along with knowledge of financial systems and general accounting concepts
- Proven ability to develop strong relationships and partnerships with internal customers, peers and effectively manage those relationships
- Demonstrated ability to work across multiple departments to complete a project or resolve an organizational challenge
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
- Experience with SAP or other software tools preferred
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills, including leveraging analytics, benchmarking, and insights to generate meaningful strategies and solutions.
