Job summary

Avis Budget Group in Etobicoke, Ontario, is seeking an Analyst to join its Financial Planning and Analysis team. You will perform financial calculations, consolidate data, and prepare reports, charts, and presentations for management and auditors.

Responsibilities include budgeting, depreciation, working capital, P&L analysis, capital expenditure reporting, and month-end close support, with opportunities to influence regional forecasts and strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required or related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in finance analysis function.
• Knowledge of financial calculations, reporting, and valuation methodologies; proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Performs various financial calculations including budgeting, depreciation, working capital, P&L, investments, and performance comparisons.
• Creates ad hoc reports, graphs, and charts of financial data.
• Consolidates and analyzes capital expenditure reporting across regions and brands with monthly variance analysis.
• Consolidates interest expense reporting and forecasting with Treasury to update monthly forecasts.
• Updates depreciation and amortization forecasts for the Americas region with variance explanation.
• Supports month-end close by analyzing expense accounts and preparing adjustments.
• Assists in periodic forecast and budgeting via coordination with area heads and operations.
