A leading digital platform in the insurance sector is seeking an FP&A Analyst to drive financial decision-making through detailed analysis and strategic modeling. The candidate will collaborate across teams to optimize planning processes and reporting systems. Agents can work with over 120 carriers, selling various insurance policies, including home, auto, small business, and more. Role Overview:
We’re seeking a highly analytical and proactive FP&A Analyst to join our Finance team. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in driving strategic decision-making through financial modeling, forecasting, and business performance analysis. You’ll partner with teams across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Product to support financial planning and provide actionable insights that drive growth and efficiency.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in a high-growth SaaS startup environment (B2B or B2C) and a strong understanding of financial drivers in tech-enabled businesses. Experience in the insurance industry or adjacent verticals is a strong plus.
What You’ll Do:
Build and maintain robust financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.
Drive scenario planning and ad hoc financial analyses to evaluate business initiatives and investments.
Business Performance Analysis
Analyze company performance across revenue, expenses, and key metrics (KPIs), providing actionable insights to business leaders.
Maintain financial and operational KPI dashboards and develop reporting packages for leadership and investors.
Reporting & Planning
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including materials for board meetings.
Assist in improving financial systems, planning tools, and internal processes to support scalable growth.
Cross-functional Partnership
Partner closely with teams including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Product to assess performance and develop plans.
Collaborate to ensure financial plans are aligned with business goals and market realities.
What You Bring:
4–7 years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, consulting, or corporate finance.
Proven experience in VC-backed high-growth startups (B2B SaaS, marketplaces, or B2C tech).
Experience in or strong familiarity with the insurance industry or Insurtech business models is highly desirable.
Advanced Excel/Google Sheets modeling skills; experience with tools like NetSuite, HubSpot, and SQL is a plus.
Strong understanding of SaaS or tech business metrics (e.g., CAC, LTV, churn, gross margin).
Excellent communication and business partnering skills; ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and can manage multiple priorities.
Nice to Have:
CPA, CFA, or MBA (not required).
Familiarity with accounting principles and financial reporting (GAAP).
Prior experience supporting insurance carrier or broker operations.

The base pay range for the role is $80,000 - $90,000. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, location, business needs, and market demands.
