We’re Hiring: All-Star Full Stack Engineer (Backend Learning – Founding Role) for our client in the AI Travel Space. Fully backed startup and founded by a successful tech leader, with a proven track record of scaling companies and growing disruptive tech.

We’re looking for a force-of-nature engineer — someone who thrives in high-intensity startup environments, ships fast, and has the track record to prove they’re in the top 1%.

This is a hands-on IC role. You’ll own critical parts of our stack, build backend-heavy systems, and deliver responsive, high-performance user experiences.

What you’ll be doing

• Build scalable backend systems (Node.js, TypeScript) and high-quality frontends (React, Next.js a plus).
• Develop secure APIs, tune databases (SQL / NoSQL), and scale distributed systems on GCP.
• Drive quality and reliability with modern cloud-native practices (CI / CD, containerization, automated testing).
• Ship quickly, grind through challenges, and own outcomes end-to-end.

What we’re looking for

• 10+ years of engineering experience (staff / principal level).
• Recent hands-on IC experience (not needing management at this time).
• Mastery in backend (TypeScript, Node.js) + React Web (Next.js bonus).
• Based in Ottawa, ON – in-office.
• Must be a Canadian Citizen, no sponsorship available.
• Side projects that showcase passion for building.
