Qualifications
- 5+ years hands-on experience building, shipping, and maintaining production-grade full-stack software products.
- Agentic AI experience building, fine-tuning, or deploying agentic AI systems and LLM-powered applications in production environments.
- Strong customer-centric focus with the ability to engage with enterprise stakeholders.
- Founder's mindset with ambiguity tolerance; comfortable making high-stakes decisions with partial information.
- Rapid prototyping ability; iterate based on real-world usage and feedback.
- Fluency in/frontend stack (React, TypeScript) and backend (Next.js, TypeScript).
- Solid systems architecture background with distributed systems, AWS, Kubernetes, and LLM providers.
- Experience with modern tooling (GitLab, Datadog, OpenTofu) and multi-LLM orchestration tools.

- Build the Blueprint: define how the FDE team operates and set internal playbooks and roadmap.
- Deploy Autonomous Intelligence: map L&D workflows to identify high-impact AI opportunities.

As a founding member of our Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) team, you will bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI technology and real-world impact. This is not a plug-and-play role with a pre-written playbook. You will work hand-in-hand with our most forward-thinking, strategic customers to transform complex L&D workflows into autonomous, high-impact AI agents. By translating customer challenges into reusable platform capabilities, you will play a central role in establishing our FDE function from the ground up, defining what success looks like, and shaping the future of AI-first learning.
- Build the Blueprint: Thrive in extreme ambiguity. You won't just follow operational rituals—you'll create them. You’ll define how our FDE team operates, set internal playbooks, and figure out the technical roadmap as you navigate uncharted territory alongside our clients.
- Deploy Autonomous Intelligence: Partner directly with our strategic enterprise customers to map complex L&D workflows, pin-pointing high-impact opportunities for agentic AI integration.
- Architect Custom AI Agents: Design, build, and deploy bespoke AI agents that integrate seamlessly with customer systems and the Docebo Agent Hub.
- Drive Platform Evolution: Translate hands‑on customer insights into foundational platform enhancements, turning bespoke client solutions into scalable features for our broader ecosystem.
- Own the Product Lifecycle: Take full ownership from discovery and system architecture to production deployment, monitoring and iterative optimization.
- Build the Discipline: Shape the founding FDE team culture, operational rituals, and internal playbooks while defining our technical roadmap and cross‑functional org design.
- Full-Stack Craftsmanship: 5+ years of hands‑on experience building, shipping, and maintaining production‑grade full‑stack software products.
- Agentic AI Expertise: Prior experience building, fine‑tuning, or deploying agentic AI systems and LLM‑powered applications in production environments.
- Product-First Mindset: A strong customer‑centric focus with the confidence and communication skills to engage directly with enterprise stakeholders.
- Founder Mindset & Ambiguity Tolerance: You don't wait for clear specs or structured hand‑offs. You are energized by undefined problems, comfortable making high‑stakes decisions with partial information, and obsessed with taking complete ownership from zero to one.
- Rapid Prototyping Agility: Proven ability to quickly build prototypes, experiment boldly, and iterate based on real‑world usage and customer feedback.
- Modern Tech Fluency: Proficiency in our core tech stack, including frontend (React, TypeScript) and backend development (Next.js, TypeScript).
- Systems Architecture: Strong architectural background with solid experience navigating distributed systems, AWS, Kubernetes, and LLM providers.
- Ecosystem Familiarity: Experience using modern engineering tooling like GitLab, Datadog, OpenTofu, and multi‑LLM orchestration tools.
- Step 1: We’ll kick things off with a 30-minute video call with a member of our Talent team. We’ll get to know you, share more about the role and team, and make sure we’re aligned.
- Step 2: A 60-minute video call with the hiring manager, where they’ll dig deeper into your experience, approach, and what excites you most about this opportunity.
- Step 3: A hands‑on technical deep dive and architecture discussion with key stakeholders.
- Step 4: A final conversation focused on culture fit, team dynamics, and cross‑functional alignment.
