A YC-backed seed-stage startup is looking for a Founding Account Executive (Outbound) in Toronto. This critical role involves owning the sales cycle and targeting mid-market and enterprise clients, emphasizing significant outbound efforts. About the Company:
We’re supporting a YC-backed seed-stage startup with a multi-Trillion dollar TAM. After growing 15x post-accelerator without a single sales hire, they’re ready to bring on their first two AEs to take their go-to-market to the next level.
Your Role:
You’ll own the full sales cycle—prospecting to close—targeting mid-market and enterprise companies in industries like insurance, logistics, and fintech. This role is 90% outbound and ideal for someone who thrives in early-stage, high-growth environments and wants to play a critical role in building out the sales function.
Qualifications:
-3+ years of AE experience, including 1+ in enterprise
-B2B SaaS sales experience, preferably involving APIs or technical products
-Confident prospecting and running outbound strategy
-Strong communication and pipeline management skills
-Previous startup experience
-Based in Toronto and available to be in-office 4x/week
Nice to Have:
-Background in computer science, engineering, or technical field
-Experience selling into insurance or financial services
