Job summary

Crown Lift Trucks Canada is seeking an experienced Shop Manager to lead daily shop operations, including workflow of new, used, demo, rental, and customer orders. You will supervise technicians, coordinate shipping/receiving, and report to the Service Manager.

Responsibilities include training staff, enforcing safety, controlling shop costs, and maintaining 5S standards while ensuring high service levels and strong customer relations.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in running and managing operations.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Technical and repair knowledge.
• Experience implementing 5S, Kaizen, or Lean Six Sigma is preferred.
• Computer skills including Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Shop: direct and manage the shop, plan workflow, train staff, and enforce safety practices.
• Oversee shop operations: scheduling, technicians, and shipping/receiving.
• Support cost control, 5S organization, and service quality.
• Recruiting, coaching, and performance reviews of staff.
• Maintain customer relations and ensure timely delivery and invoicing.
• Ensure safety and compliance, WSIB paperwork, and incident handling.
