Job summary

Ryder in Caledon, ON is seeking a Material Handler I to perform warehouse duties including loading, picking, packing, shipping, and receiving, with forklift operation and cycle counting.

The position offers hourly pay of $21 with a $2 weekend premium, full-time permanent status, and a shift pattern Fri-Sat 6:00am to 4:30pm and Sun-Mon 5:00pm to 3:30am.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, and receiving.
• Operate forklift and conduct cycle counts.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork (picking sheets, bills of lading).
• Assist with maintenance of automated packing systems during shift hours.

About the Job

Under the responsibility of the Logistics Supervisor, the Material Handler I performs warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting.

Wage: $21 per hour + $2.00 per hour weekend shift premium

Job Type: Full-time, perm

Location: Caledon, ON

Shifts

Friday to Saturday, 6:00am to 4:30pm

Sunday to Monday, 5:00pm to 3:30am

Essential Functions

• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks
• Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production

Additional Responsibilities

• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Some locations may require a Motor Vehicles Records (MVR) check as a part of the background screening process to drive a company vehicle as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
