Job description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Physically load and unload containerized waste from straight trucks and van trailers.
2. Prepare and load customer supplies on straight trucks and van trailers.
3. Move and organize containerized waste within the facility.
4. Operate forklifts and assist with general maintenance.
5. Understand and follow the company’s standard operating procedures (SOPs).
6. Provide excellent customer service.
7. Perform general shop clean-up and maintenance.
8. Report any defects, damages, spills, or incidents to the Shift Supervisor/Operations Manager.
9. Maintain yard and warehouse cleanliness and organization, including dumping scrap metal and garbage into roll-off bins.
10. Ensure yard and warehouse security.
11. Participate in Household Hazardous Waste collection events, identifying and separating waste, and loading containerized waste for transport.
12. Perform other tasks as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

1. Mandatory forklift experience; backhoe experience preferred.
2. Preferably have your own transportation.
3. Availability for overnight shifts.
4. Ability to perform moderately labor-intensive and repetitive tasks.
5. Excellent communication skills.
6. Strong planning and organizational skills.
7. Ability to work independently and in a team.
