Job summary

XTL Transport Inc., Valleyfield, is seeking forklift operators for our new distribution center. You will load and unload, verify counts, operate forklifts, and complete documentation in a fast-paced warehouse.

You'll use a scanner with our WMS, adhere to safety standards, and meet productivity targets. A valid forklift certificate and C-TPAT background check are required; prior DC experience is an asset. We offer insurance after probation, RRSP access, and a safety footwear allowance.

Qualifications

• A valid forklift operator certificate.
• Experience operating various types of forklifts (Clamp, Fork, Raymond, etc.).
• Experience working in a distribution center is an asset.
• Experience using a scanner and WMS system is an asset.
• Strong awareness of workplace health and safety.
• A positive and determined attitude.
• Due to current C-TPAT policy, the selected candidate will be subject to a background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate the forklift while adhering to all safety standards.
• Load and unload merchandise according to the company’s established procedures.
• Verify item counts and quantities for each transaction.
• Complete the appropriate documentation following loading/unloading.
• Move merchandise safely at all times.
• Follow all company-issued health and safety guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with established quality standards (product, equipment, materials).
• Meet the company’s performance and productivity standards.
• Use a scanner to complete transactions in the WMS.
• Participate in inventory counts and performing other related tasks.
