A logistics and supply chain company in Vancouver is hiring for warehouse operations to manage stock control and ensure safety compliance. The role requires 2-3+ years of experience in a warehouse environment and effective communication skills. You will perform stock counts, handle materials, and maintain a clean working environment. Perform stock count and stock control activities, supporting adequate inventory and stock management.
Receipt, storage, transportation, and dispensing of raw materials, packaging materials, supplies, finished products, and waste materials.
Receiving, handling, and control of raw materials and goods supplied, ensuring deliveries conform to purchase orders and shipping documents, and are in good condition.
Checking receipts for appearance and based on lading and packing slip, reporting defects to supervisor.
Marking lading and recording receipt and quality data in the system.
Storage: of raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and pallets using forklift trucks, ensuring placement in prescribed storage locations and compliance with safety requirements. Conduct inventory counts, compare actual stock with administrative records periodically, and report deviations.
Transportation of raw materials, packaging materials, supplies, finished products, and waste materials to and from production departments based on production planning, to ensure timely availability and prevent product accumulation.
Good housekeeping / Compliance: Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of equipment, workplace, and environment. Clean all equipment and work environment and perform activities in compliance with relevant HSE and quality standards, both internal Nutreco standards and external standards.
Compliance: Work in accordance with all SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality) requirements and regulations, operational and legal safety procedures, and technical standards.
Safety: Identify potential hazards or unsafe situations and take appropriate action in case of imminent unsafe conditions.
Skills and Expertise
Qualifications:
Solid background in warehouse operations with 2-3+ years of experience and understanding of warehouse environment.
Basic computer skills.
Forklift operation certification is an asset.

This is a shift job: primarily morning and afternoon shifts, with potential night shifts if required.
