Position Title:

Forklift Operator

Wage:

$17.00-$18.00 per hour

Shift:

1st

Hours:

7:00am-3:30pm (Mon-Fri)

QPS Employment Group has a great Forklift Operator position available at a company in Davenport, IA. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire.

Forklift Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Unload/load shipments, verifying merchandise matches shipping documents.
2. Move merchandise to storage, properly documenting locations and reporting any shipment discrepancies.
3. Pick orders and prepare for shipment, ensuring the exact number and type of product is ready for shipment.
4. Keep accurate records of stock moves, receipts, and shipments using electronic tablets.
5. Operate forklift safely and efficiently (after training and certification by the client).
6. Perform general housekeeping duties, including sweeping and debris removal in the warehouse.

Forklift Operator Requirements:

• Must be able to sit for most of the shift.
• Must be able to grasp steering wheel and controls throughout the shift.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs occasionally during the shift.
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Must be able to stand for part of the shift.
• At least 3 years of previous forklift experience required.
• Previous exposure to warehouse environment preferred.
• Attention to detail and accuracy required.
