Job summary

A leading company is seeking a Forklift Operator for a contract-to-hire position in Ontario. The successful candidate will operate a counterbalance forklift, assist in shipping and receiving, and perform material handling tasks in a dynamic automotive manufacturing facility. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of experience and an external forklift certification. This is a fully onsite role with day shifts.

Job description

As a Forklift Operator, you will operate a counterbalance forklift within a dynamic manufacturing facility. Your role will involve supporting shipping and receiving operations, as well as material handling tasks.

Responsibilities

1. Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently.
2. Assist in shipping and receiving operations.
3. Perform material handling tasks as required.
4. Manage inventory and picking operations.
5. Load and unload goods within the facility.
6. Possess 2+ years of experience operating a forklift.
7. Hold an external forklift certification.
8. Have experience operating a forklift within a manufacturing facility.

The role is based in an automotive manufacturing facility with straight day shifts from 7 AM to 3 PM. The environment prioritizes efficiency and safety. The dress code is appropriate for a manufacturing setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based in Guelph, Ontario.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 per hour.
