Join to apply for the Forklift Operator role at Gillfor Distribution.

Gillfor Distribution Edmonton has an opening for a Forklift Operator. As part of our Lumber Yard team at our Edmonton Distribution Centre, you will work in a team environment reporting directly to our Shipping Supervisor. You will be responsible for efficiently and accurately assembling customer orders, serving customers in the yard, maintaining the presentation and organization of warehouse materials, and loading customer trucks. This is a full-time position at our Edmonton location.

Expectations
  • Loading and unloading building materials safely and efficiently
  • Assisting in loading orders onto customer trucks
  • Conducting quarterly inventory counts and spot checks
  • Maintaining a tidy and organized lumber yard and warehouse
  • Ensuring compliance with all safety rules and regulations
  • Polite interaction with customers and truck drivers during pickups and drop-offs
  • Serving customers entering the yard following established protocols
  • Operating a forklift to load and unload building materials
  • Preparing, picking, and packing customer orders as required
Ideal Attributes
  • High School Diploma
  • Forklift Certification
  • Minimum of two years forklift experience
  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
  • Knowledge of the building materials industry (asset)
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Flexibility with start and finish times
