Salary information :Competitive wages ($22.40to $22.92/hour) + shift premiums available ($5/hour)

Night shift :Monday to Thursday 5:30 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.

Job Description

• Handle products carefully to bring them to the storage line using a propane or electrical sit-down forklift;
• Transport various materials and/or supplies for operational needs;
• Inspect machinery before the start of each shift and change operators as required;
• Ensure the cleaning of the premises and equipment to keep the work environment clean and safe;
• Review work completed on previous shift and work to be completed according to priorities established by the production supervisor;
• Notify the production supervisor of any mechanical breakdowns;
• Operate the forklift safely and meticulously;
• Be very vigilant in the method of driving, in order to avoid accidents and/or overturns: pedestrians, buildings, fixed equipment, trucks and other machinery;
• Use the forklift according to its capabilities and limits;
• Outdoor work environment;
• Be buckled up at all times;
• Responsible for cleaning the interior and exterior of the machine;
• Comply with company health and safety rules;
• All other related duties.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift operator's competency card or to be renewed;
• Experience as a sit-down forklift operator (1 year minimum);
• Self-motivated and proactive;
• Good attendance record;
• Resourcefulness;
• Punctual person;
• Ensure compliance with work safety standards and instructions.
