Job summary

Ice River Sustainable Solutions is hiring a Forklift Operator to join our team in Canada. You will safely operate forklifts, load and move materials, and support daily production with a focus on safety and efficiency.

We offer a competitive hourly wage, 12-hour continental shifts (days/nights), and company-paid benefits. Training, uniforms, and safety allowances are provided to help you excel in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Forklift or heavy equipment experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment following safety and operational guidelines.
• Follow safety protocols, OSHA guidelines, and prevent accidents and injuries.
• Load, unload, and transport finished goods and materials within the facility.
• Perform weekly inspections on forklifts and report malfunctions or maintenance needs.
• Handle materials carefully to prevent damage and maintain quality.
• Ensure goods are stored properly to preserve quality.
• Collaborate with team and supervisors to reach operational targets.
• Supply production lines with raw materials as needed.
• Transfer finished products to storage areas and maintain organization.
• Support online tasks as needed during shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment, according to established safety and operational guidelines.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries. This includes understanding and following safety regulations, such as OSHA guidelines.
• Load, unload, and transport finished goods and materials within facility. This may involve lifting, stacking, and positioning materials in storage racks or on pallets.
• Perform routine inspections on forklifts and other equipment. Report any malfunctions, defects, or maintenance needs to maintenance personnel or supervisors.
• Handle materials and products with care to prevent damage.
• Ensure that goods are properly handled, stacked, and stored to maintain their quality.
• Work as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues, supervisors, and other staff to achieve operational goals and objectives.
• Conduct weekly line sanitation as scheduled.
• Supply production lines line with all raw materials for production as required.
• Transfer all finished product from the line and put into proper storage area.
• Assist online as needed throughout the shift.

Education/Skills/Experience Required:

• Previous Forklift or Heavy Equipment experience an asset
• Ability to pay attention to detail.
• Demonstrate spirit of team work and collaboration with the flexibility to adapt to various tasks.
• Complete tasks as assigned.

Pay Rate: $23.21/hr to start
