Overview

The Opportunity

Mosaic is seeking Sustainability, Silviculture and Operations Students for the 2026 summer work term from May 4 to August 28. Students will support operations, Monday through Friday, on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.

Bring your passion and we will provide the training and experiences. Successful candidates will share their existing knowledge with Mosaic Forest Management staff while gaining valuable on-the-job experience in operations and planning, sustainability and/or quality control supplemented by coaching from experienced mentors.

What We're Seeking
  • 1+ year(s) of study and currently enrolled in a forestry related degree and/or diploma;
  • Valid BC Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent;
  • A strong commitment to workplace safety and its importance on the job;
  • An appreciation of forestry in society;
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and
  • Ability to safely and regularly navigate and work in Coastal BC terrain under various weather conditions.

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $23.75 to $27.00. Individual compensation is commensurate with skill, relevant experience, and education.
