Job Duties
  • Safely and efficiently lead multiple crews and equipment in providing arboricultural care for our clients.
  • Responsible for all safety metrics within the district.
  • Assist in recruitment of team members.
  • Provide mentorship, training, and oversee development.
  • Take the lead in planning, sequencing, and execution of assigned work for crews.
  • Provide support, expertise, and leadership on specialized jobs.
  • Support other regions where required.
  • Operate up to 8-ton crane.
  • Oversee the preventative maintenance of all equipment within a specific location.
Qualifications
  • Preferred background in Forestry, Horticulture or Landscaping.
  • 3-5 years’ experience as Arborist.
  • 5+ years as a supervisor/lead.
  • Valid provincial driver’s license. Licensed to drive a 5-ton vehicle and air brake endorsement considered an asset.
  • Certificate in crane operation, up to 8 ton required.
  • Understanding and implementation of the process of safely ascending tree canopies at all heights.
  • ISA Certification is required.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
  • Strong tree, knot and shrub identification skills.
  • Pesticide and herbicide license preferred.
Additional Information
  • Full time. Year-round employment.
  • Occasional overtime required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
