Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
• P.Eng. licensed in province of posting.
• 5+ years engineering experience or equivalent.
• Intro to forensic sciences discipline preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication required.
• PC literacy (MS Office).
• Analytical and interpretive skills essential.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel 30–40% locally or across provincial boundaries.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Ability to walk, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide clients with investigative engineering services for events, systems, devices, and/or failures.
• Give expert opinions and serve as an expert witness in court/depositions.
• Survey losses and loss scenes at residential and commercial buildings.
• Investigate and document damage scope and origin of failures.
• Collaborate with investigators to produce reports detailing cause and origin of losses.
• Maintain billable hours for time-and-expense forensic projects.
