An established industry player in healthcare is seeking a dedicated Forensic Nurse Examiner to provide essential forensic nursing and Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner services. This role involves working closely with a Clinical Nurse Leader and requires a strong commitment to patient safety and quality care. Candidates must be registered with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives and have recent nursing experience. Independently and in collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Leader, the Forensic Nurse Examiner provides comprehensive forensic nursing and Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) services to patients.
Travel is required for this position, and transportation arrangements must meet the operational requirements of Island Health.
Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN or RPN registrant. Two (2) years of recent nursing experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Eligible for completion of a recognized Sexual Assault/Forensic Nurse Examiner program and any required course prerequisites. Valid BC Driver's License.
