Job summary

MDD, a Davies Company, seeks a Manager in Forensic Accounting for Kingston/Ottawa. The role focuses on quantifying commercial insurance claims and providing litigation support within a multidisciplinary team.

You will manage assignments, supervise staff, and collaborate with clients across matters including disputes, valuations and insurance claims. Candidates should have CPA designation, CPA-related credentials, and at least 5 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years relevant work experience.
• Experience in measurement of commercial insurance claims, including business interruption.
• Experience in other litigation support matters, personal injury claims and/or accident benefits claims would be a benefit.
• Demonstrated ability to manage staff.
• Well-developed analytical, writing and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Motivated to develop leadership skills and work consultatively with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Manage and complete assignments for forensic accounting engagements.
• Work closely with clients; attend meetings and communicate analysis results.
• Develop and maintain technical expertise related to engagements.
• Assist other offices with workload and technical matters.
• Supervise and mentor junior level accountants.
• Contribute to new business development and maintain current clients.
• Some travel may be required based on assignment needs.
