We are looking for an experienced individual to fill a foreman/foreperson position on an apartment building permanent modular installation site in the city of Calgary for a temporary assignment (6-8 months).

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise different trades in the field and be able to manage the site on their own when required under the supervision of the Construction Manager
• Ensure trades are installing as per drawing and industry best practice
• Monitor and manage HSE requirements onsite
• Place material orders and pick up when needed
• Complete modular units’ inspections as they come off the manufacturing line
• Assist with daily reporting as needed
• Complete site walks daily throughout the building complex to evaluate contractors’ work
• Participate in daily toolbox and weekly safety meetings
  
  

Required Skills/Experience:

• 1+ years foreman/foreperson experience
• 5+ years in the construction industry (commercial/industrial setting) and some modular construction/installation preferred but not required.
• Journeyman or apprenticing carpenter preferred
• Proficient in blueprint reading
• Trade range understanding, i.e. concrete foundation, plumbing, electrical, roofing, building envelope, finish carpentry
• Moderate/good computer skills required
• Strong communication skills-verbal and email, team player
• Independent work ethic and responsible nature
