Qualifications

Job Summary :

The Earthworks Foreman will be responsible for overseeing daily site operations, supervising equipment operators and labourers, and ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and according to project specifications.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Supervise and coordinate all aspects of earthworks activities (cut / fill, grading, trenching, backfilling, etc.)
  • Manage crew productivity, work assignments, and site safety
  • Interpret drawings, grade stakes, and survey layouts
  • Communicate effectively with Project Managers, Engineers, and Safety Personnel
  • Perform quality control checks and maintain daily reporting
  • Promote and enforce OH&S regulations and company safety policies

Qualifications :

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy civil or oilfield earthworks
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or foreman experience
  • Strong understanding of civil drawings, grades, and GPS equipment
  • Valid Class 5 drivers licence (Class 1 or 3 an asset)
  • CSTS-2020, Ground Disturbance II, and H2S Alive certifications required
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
