What you'll do...

• As crew leader, responsible for accurate and timely submission of production reports
• Oversee crew assignments, ensure all operating and safety procedures are followed
• Read/follow work orders and blueprints
• Operate various equipment, machinery, and tools to install/repair underground cable, fiber, and placement of pedestals
• Perform manual labor tasks such as digging holes and trenches, working in extreme weather conditions
• Follow all safety procedures: wear hardhat, safety vest, safety glasses, gloves, approved footwear, and seat belt. Set up safety perimeter using signage, cones, safety barriers, and flagging traffic
• Read and understand work orders and operating instructions

Who we are looking for...

• Ability to read and understand work orders and operating instructions
• Knowledge of established buried/underground cable installation procedures and techniques
• 1-3 years of previous construction experience, preferably in telecommunications
• Valid driver's license with CDL required
• Ability to drive a company vehicle safely and responsibly
• Ability to meet critical deadlines under stress
• Highly organized with multitasking skills
• Ability to accurately measure distances using tapes or other devices
