Job Description:

Our Saskatoon branch is seeking a highly qualified individual with a strong background in Agriculture to join our service department as a Shop Foreman for our John Deere Agriculture dealership. The Shop Foreman will oversee the Service Department to ensure adherence to quality standards and productivity requirements in line with Service Optimization standards. This role involves acting as the Service Manager in their absence, providing quotes and estimates to customers, reviewing work orders, and managing payment processes.

1. Assist with assigning jobs and work orders to Service Department employees based on their skills and knowledge.
2. Help appraise incoming repair orders and participate in repairs if necessary. Review repair orders for accuracy and monitor job progress.
3. Serve as a point-of-contact for technicians regarding equipment repair inquiries and updates.
4. Guide and assist technicians and apprentices in diagnosing machine problems.
5. Inspect and repair special tools; recommend new tooling when needed.
6. Report customer complaints to the Service Manager or Service Location Manager.
7. Coordinate and schedule in-house technician training sessions.
8. Assist in coordinating and conducting quarterly safety meetings with the Service Manager or Service Location Manager.
9. Support Service Advisors by responding to technical questions from customers.
10. Promote and demonstrate safe workplace practices and proper operation of equipment.
