Newcon Electric is seeking a licensed Foreman (309A Electrician) to lead construction and maintenance projects in Ontario. The role requires coordinating on-site teams, reading blueprints, and ensuring ESA standards are met while maintaining safety on the job.

The successful candidate must hold a 309A license and be in good standing with Skilled Trades Ontario, with required safety certificates. This full-time position includes an on-call rotation and opportunities to advance within the company.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid 309A Electrician license.
• Must be a member in good standing with Skilled Trades Ontario.
• Mandatory training certificates: Elevated Work Platform, WHMIS, Working at Heights, Health & Safety Awareness.

Responsibilities

• Maintain full understanding of projects and documents involved.
• Lead and manage site team; ensure on-site safety and ESA standard compliance.
• Coordinate with client representatives and manage workflow to meet client expectations.
• Follow installation plans and performance baselines; procure and lay out materials as needed.
• Ensure installations are tested and functioning properly.

Newcon Electric has an exciting opportunity for a 309A Electrician – Construction and Maintenance. We are a full-service electrical contractor company serving the commercial, industrial, and residential industry since 2009. Newcon Electric specializes in a wide variety of electrical systems. Our team is dedicated to delivering quality electrical installations while maintaining a safe environment for workers and customers.

We are currently hiring licensed Foreman. Applicants selected for employment must possess the following mandatory, valid training certificates:

• Elevated Work Platform


• Worker Health & Safety Awareness


• Working at Heights (from a Ministry of Labor approved Training Provider)


• WHMIS

Must be a member in good standing with Skilled Trades Ontario (formerly OCOT).

Foreman position is based on the following responsibilities:

• Maintain a full understanding of projects and all documents involved,


• Strong problem-solving skills,


• Maintain a productive work site,


• Ensure all work is installed to meet and exceed ESA standards,


• Ensure positive communication with client representative,


• Manage workflow to meet or exceed client expectations,


• Participate in On Call Rotation,


• Flexible work hours to meet client demands,


• Lead and manage site team,


• Follow installation plan, follow performance baseline with efficient result,


• Procurement planning, reading lays out,


• Assembles, installs, repairs, maintains, connects and/or tests electrical systems,


• Plans installations from blueprints, sketches and specifications, and installs all electrical and electronic devices systematically diagnoses faults in electrical and electronic components, as required measures, cuts, threads, bends, assembles and installs conduits and other electrical conductor raceways splices and terminates electrical conductors tests electrical and electronic equipment to ensure that they are functioning properly.
