The Grocery People (TGP) are hiring a Sales Representative for their Kamloops Branch in Kamloops, BC.

Are you a Sales professional with a passion for the Foodservice industry? TGP has the perfect opportunity for you! As a Sales Rep you will represent the TGP brand by prospecting, consulting, and promoting sales. You will work with a variety of Foodservice customers from dining, recreation, hospitality, healthcare, and more!

What you’ll do:

• Manage a sales territory with a variety of foodservice accounts.
• Identify and acquire new sales prospects.
• Provide expertise on customer queries, issues, and transactions, demonstrating your understanding of the short-term, moderately complex customer requirements.
• Maintain relationships with local brokers and vendors on promotion and account penetration.

Who you’ll work with:

The Collaborators: You will work closely with other functions throughout TGP and collaborate across the organization with other consultants to share information related to your accounts, activity, market trends, and competitor initiatives.

The Team: Our branch goes back nearly 30 years as a wholesale to Kamloops and B.C. interior.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Sales and:

• Have 1-3 years of relevant experience in the Foodservice industry.
• Have an undergraduate degree in marketing or business (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
• Have excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Have professional sales training (considered an asset).
• Have a class 5 driver’s license (some travel required).
• You are honest and trustworthy.

What we offer:

• An approximate salary range of $56,000 to $84,000, company vehicle package, annual incentives, a comprehensive benefits package, and an employer-contributed pension plan.
