Job description

SUMMARY: The Affinity Group Account Manager is responsible for planning and executing a customized sales strategy for their assigned operator accounts. This position is deeply knowledgeable with accounts and builds and maintains close relationships with decision makers and the Chefs at all assigned operators. Main goal is to secure new product placement at assigned accounts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide Strong representation of all products sold
  • Maximize sales potentials with all products at every account
  • Achieve sales projections and targets
  • Participate at industry trade shows
  • Other duties as assigned

The successful candidates must possess the following Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Minimum of 5 years + Foodservice experience
  • Must have experience working with Major Distributors, Contract Feeders and Regional and Chain Accounts
  • Have a proven track record of foodservice sales, excellent understanding of marketing and operator programs
  • Have excellent communication skills both written and oral with a strong command of the English language
  • Have excellent negotiation, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Have excellent computer skills at an intermediate level
  • Have excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Have excellent customer-service skills and able to multi-task
  • Have excellent presentation skills - in both the boardroom and kitchen
  • Be a self-starter and able to work independently

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • Candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Work may be performed in an office, warehouse or restaurant environment.
  • Stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, or climb.
  • May have possible exposure to dust and may require the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds.
  • Flexible work hours to accommodate demands of position (some weekends included)
  • May require travel up to 80% of the time within territory and overnights may be required
