Job summary

Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care in Markham, Ontario is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to support meals delivery, portioning and dessert service for residents. The role includes dishwashing, general cleaning of cooking equipment, and adherence to strict health and safety standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

The successful candidate will have a Food Handler Safety Certificate, basic English, and the ability to lift heavy trays; Chinese language skills are an asset and

Qualifications

• Successful completion of, or is currently enrolled in a recognized Food Service Worker Program.
• Current Food Handler Safety Certificate.
• Some experience in food services industry.
• Ability to lift heavy industrial size food trays, pots and pans.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Screen.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Communicate in Chinese an asset.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the delivery of meals, portioning and serving dessert.
