Job summary

All Nations Healing Hospital is seeking a Food Services Worker to join an interdisciplinary team delivering cafeteria, catering, and dining room services. You will assist with non-cooking food and beverage preparation and help maintain clean, sanitary equipment and spaces.

Casual relief availability is required, with weekend and weekday shifts. Prior healthcare food service experience and familiarity with infection control are assets for this role.

Qualifications

  • Grade 10 is required.
  • Experience in a Food Services Department in healthcare is an asset.
  • Knowledge of infection control, isolation techniques and universal precautions is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • WHMIS and Food Safety training is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide cafeteria, catering, and dining room services and assist with non-cooking food and beverage preparation.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas.
  • Available for weekend and weekday shifts and may be called at any time during the workday to cover shifts.

Job description

Reporting to the Head Cook at the All Nations Healing Hospital, this position works as part of an interdisciplinary team providing cafeteria, catering, and dining room services and assistance with the (non-cooking) preparation of food and beverages. The Food Services worker will clean and sanitize equipment and work areas.

We are looking for an individual who is interested in joining a highly functioning team and will provide casual relief. The successful candidate must be available for weekend and weekday work and may be called at any time during the workday to cover shifts.

Qualifications
  • Grade 10
  • Prior experience working in a Food Services Department in the health care field and hospital setting is an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience in infection control, isolation techniques and universal precautions
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Basic computer skills
  • WHMIS and Food Safety training would be an asset.
